π (212) 355-2575A former book editor & media studies professor I now manage a select entertainment, interactive/new media, and art law practice at Wood Media Law. In addition to my law degree (Cardozo) I have a PhD in Cultural & Critical Studies (U. of Pittsburgh). I've also done advanced work in international media law & policy (at Oxford). Before all that I went to college in Philadelphia (U. of Pennsylvania) and worked & studied in MontrΓ©al (at McGill). Since entering legal life I've worked in a wide variety of positions in entertainment and communications, from standards enforcement at the Entertainment Software Rating Board to a fellowship at London's Stanhope Centre for Communications Policy Research. Before starting my own practice I was associated with a boutique entertainment law firm in Tribeca. My office is in the Film Center in Hell's Kitchen but I often spend time in the Hudson Valley, seeing clients there as well. Wood Media Law works toward intelligent balance: tailoring appropriate legal solutions for creative people and endeavors.
