Andrew Mims is the Founder and Managing Attorney of Oak Grove Estate Planning, a Lafayette based law firm focused on helping Louisiana individuals and families create comprehensive estate plans and navigate the probate and succession process with clarity and confidence. With nearly 20 years of experience practicing estate planning and succession law in Louisiana, Andrew advises clients on wills, revocable living trusts, probate avoidance planning, incapacity planning, asset protection strategies, and business succession planning. He regularly assists families in preparing estate plans designed to minimize court involvement and provides legal guidance to executors, trustees, and heirs during probate and succession proceedings. Andrew’s practice includes representing clients in Louisiana succession matters involving both testate and intestate estates. He works closely with personal representatives and beneficiaries to administer estates efficiently and in accordance with Louisiana law, including the transfer of real estate, resolution of debts and claims, and coordination with financial institutions, CPAs, and other professional advisors. He also assists with trust administration and the establishment of trusts for minors receiving personal injury settlement funds. In addition to client representation, Andrew provides educational workshops and seminars on estate planning, probate, and succession topics for families, business owners, real estate professionals, and nonprofit organizations throughout Lafayette and the greater Acadiana region.
