About Adrienne Ellington

Adrienne is a graduate of Boise State University, University of Phoenix, and the University of Montana School of Law. Adrienne is a Montana native and grew up in Butte and Great Falls. Before attending law school, Adrienne worked in the legal field for over twelve years. Her experience includes working as a paralegal for a family and criminal defense attorney for nine years. She also worked in various prosecutor’s offices and as a jail technician at the sheriff’s office. Public interests is a passion for Adrienne. Before her admission to the Montana bar, Adrienne was actively involved in Montana Public Interest student law group, Montana Trial Lawyers Association student chapter, and the Native American Student Association. Adrienne participated in National Cultural Heritage Moot Court and competed in the 2017 national competition in Chicago. The case she prepared and argued was set before the United States Supreme Court and involved a religious freedom challenge to the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act brought by an American Indian tribal member. Adrienne is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Montana, and the Federal Bar Association. Adrienne specializes in family law (divorce, child custody, child support, adoption) guardianships, criminal defense, simple estate planning and landlord-tenant law. She is admitted to practice before all Montana courts, as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of Montana.
